Gas Motorized Folding Scooters

Gas powered scooters have come a long way since there inception.  They have evolved from bulky hunks of tin to lightweight gas motorized folding scooters.  Folding scooters are a new design on a great product.  They evolve from kick scooters invented by the Razor company.  These scooters are also called stand up gas scooters.  These are miniature kick scooters that have been modified with a chiansaw engine and disc brakes.

Gas motorized folding scooters are very sturdy.  Most models have inflatable tires, shocks and front and rear brakes.  The engines for these scooters can produce speeds upwards of 40 to as high as 60 mph.  It all depends on the size of the engine.

Engines usually come in 40cc, 49cc and 50cc models.  Some engines are even larger but they don't get too large then these scooters become unsafe.  Remember, these are folding scooters that can fit in the truck of the car.  Some come with seats that can give the rider a little more control, but people that opt to not get the seat attachments could have an unsafe ride if for some reason they fall off.

In terms of makers of the fabulous machines, there are a few distributors that are making a name for themselves.  One in particular is go-ped.  The company was started in 1985 with a prototype for a short range personal transportation device and this was the inspiration for the Go-Ped brand, the original folding gas motorized scooters.

Folding scooters are extremely cheap compared to full blown scooters on the market today.  An average cheap gas scooter could out of the box cost approx. $300 to $400 dollars on the low end.  But if you are getting into the professional side of folding scooters, a typical scooter could set you back $1000 dollars or more. The professional scooters come with more bells, upgraded brakes, a even more re-enforced frame and high grade brakes just to name a few advancements.

As for the environment, if you were thinking that these scooters are better for the environment then you were right.  These gas motor scooters take up less gas and produce super high milage.  But these scooters are not designed to go long distance.  These are personal transportation vehicles that can take you on short excursions.  But riding these in comparison to a car would save you a significant buck in your wallet.
