Scooters have been the latest craze these days not only for kids but the big boys as well. These lightweight vehicles have been a fun mode of recreation and transportation. Scooters are economical vehicles because of its remarkable low gas consumption and versatility. They are easy to use and operate even without a driver’s license but not in all places of course.

Folding Scooters

These scooters are the most popular scooters especially for kids. These are lightweight and operated manually. These do not have motor but you use your foot to make them operate. They come in two-wheeled or three-wheeled models. They are easy to store when not in use, just fold them and they can be compact into a size of a suitcase. Their body frame comes in aluminum or steel.

Skateboard Scooters

Skateboard scooters are one of the distinguished types of scooters that are used for trick riding. It is a combination of a scooter and a four-wheeled skateboard. These have fixed handlebar steered just like a standard skateboard.

Mobility Scooters

Mobility scooters are especially designed for physically challenged individuals and the elderly. These scooters are a great help for them to explore outside and not confine themselves at home. These are powered by electricity or battery and come in three or four-wheeled models. These do not require a driver’s license to operate and can be used on public transportation.

Gas Motor Scooters

These scooters are designed to deliver the highest speeds of motor scooters on and off road riding. They come in different engine sizes from 50cc to over 250cc. It is typical that the smaller the engine the more fuel economy. Gas motor scooters can be operated through automatic or manual transmission.

Electric Motor Scooters

Electric motor scooters are extremely beneficial not only in saving money for gas but as well as on our environment. This is because electric powered scooters leave a smaller carbon footprint which causes pollution. However, these scooters cannot be used for long road trips because the battery needs to be recharged every approximately 15 miles of travel.

Utility Scooters

These scooters are great for use in golf courses, corporations and factories warehouses. They are multipurpose helpers in hauling small loads such as golf bags, coolers and boxes.
